Banana Porridge 1 small serve. Oats and water can be doubled for a larger serve
A basic porridge is oats and water at a 1:2 ratio, eg 1/4 cup oats and 1/2 cup water. Add any flavours you like to this: currants, sultanas, berries, grated apple, jam, nuts, allspice, salt, coconut etc.
Ingredients 1/4 cup of oats 1/2 cup water 1/4 tsp cinnamon 1/2 banana 1 tsp coconut oil (if you are eating oil) Garnishes: 1 tbsp LSA or other nuts or seeds to your liking 1/4 cup of frozen raspberries 1 tbsp shredded coconut
Method Allow oats and water to soak overnight if you have been organised Combine all ingredients, aside from garnishes, in small saucepan Place saucepan over low heat and stir Allow porridge to very gently heat, stirring occasionally until it is smooth and creamy Use a fork to mash banana through the porridge Sprinkle with LSA, seeds or nuts, raspberries or shredded coconut if desired.
