Chickpea, Potato and Cauliflower Curry (15.04.2008)
There's a huge list of ingredients to this curry, but it's not as hard as it sounds - and it tastes great! Red Kidney Bean Dip (11.03.2008)

Zucchini Dry Fry (08.02.2008)
This year we planted 3 zucchini seedlings in our vegie garden and they grew massive and we have zucchinis coming out of our ears!They were easy plants to grow, minimal maintenance and generous with their fruit which meant that we did not mind sharing some with the possums and birds.

Ingredients: 3/4 cup almonds 1/2 cup soy milk zest and juice of 1/2 lemon pinch salt 1-2 cloves of garlic (depending on how much of a kick you want the sauce to have!) Method: Place almonds and soy milk in food processer, and blend until the mixture has a creamy consistency.

Spiced Carrot Muffins (21.01.2008)
Creamy Cashew Topping: 1 cup raw cashews 3/4 cup milk 2 tsp apple puree (add more if desired) Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.

Lentil Bolognaise (26.11.2007)
This tastes almost as good as the meat version. It makes a very nice lasagne. Ingredients 1 can lentils or 1 1/3 cups washed dried brown lentils 2 cans crushed tomatoes 3 cloves garlic 2 tsp dried parsley 2 tsp dried oregano 1 tsp dried basil 2 diced carrots 2 sliced celery stalks Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and simmer until the lentils are soft but not mushy.

There are so many different rices out there and all cook well in different ways. From our little bit of experience and from some advice from Sri Lankan friends this is how we cook Basmati and Brown Rice. Basmati About 1/2 a cup uncooked serves one person.
